About

About Las Marías
Las Marías is a bilingual education project composed of workshops and independent discussion groups, as well as of an online resource of introductory feminist materials . As big believers in civil, off-line discourse we develop, run and support workshops to connect feminist ideas with practical everyday issues. As our primary audience we address adolescents and young people unfamiliar with feminism, but wish to include people from all different types of backgrounds.  The workshops are conducted in English and/or Spanish, and are flexible in terms of audience and scope of the sessions. If you’re interested in our workshops, please contact us at  hellolasmarias@gmail.com .
Here you can learn more about our fiscal sponsor, Cine Qua Non.

Disclaimer
While we are writing with the intent of being as inclusive as possible, we are limited by our own identities and experiences, as well as the fact that it is difficult to produce materials that encompass all existing realities and identities. Much of the Las Marías content is directed at anyone who identifies as a woman with other sections specifically created with male-identified individuals in mind. We don't mean to make people feel excluded, and recognize the limitations inherent in us producing these materials. We do sincerely hope though that most people can benefit from information and thoughts here presented. Feedback is welcomed and encouraged. Also, if you know of a better source, more appropriate for and/or inclusive of specific groups of people, please feel free to send it to hellolasmarias@gmail.com and we can link to it.
